It is essential that anyone who offers himself for ordination should be able to demonstrate that he is familiar with the all the tradition and practice of the Church of England and be ready to work within them. The Church of England has a distinctive historical and pastoral tradition and a diversity of theological attitudes are to be found. Whilst as Catholics we hold to a distinct theological view we must always be willing to accept that others within our Church hold differing views yet are equally valued. It should be recognised that during training and when undertaking ministry this will always be the case. Catholics are not in a ghetto - they are a valued part of the whole.
